GOD IS FAITHFUL

There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Cor. 10:13. Let's do a simple analysis of this verse. God is faithful. How could He be anything but faithful. He is perfect in all things. He allows the temptations to perfect us. But these temptations are not more than we can handle. We do not have to be overwhelmed by them because God also provides a means of escape. It took me awhile to understand this means of escape. I thought that I could pass by the temptation without getting burned. I was testing how close I could come. The Lord intended for me to escape not to play around. I realized that for me I had to do an about face and flee which was the only way that I could bear the temptation. We don't want to flirt with danger; we want to flee danger !
