THE SAME SPIRIT

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”Romans 8:11 NKJV   We can only begin to understand the immensity of these words  when we realize that this same Spirit is first revealed in the book of Genesis.”In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”Genesis 1:1‭-‬2 NKJV. The presence of the Spirit of God is obvious in both the Old Testament and New Testament when Lazarus the brother of Mary and Martha died,  Jesus made his way to Bethany. He didn’t hurry because he wanted to demonstrate the mighty power of God. After four days Lazarus begins to smell rotting in the tomb. Jesus told the young men to roll back the stone. Jesus commands Lazarus come forth. And the dead man came out of the tomb filled with resurrection power. The power of the Holy Ghost. In the Book of Acts the apostles performed mighty miracles in the name of Jesus, The  name above all names. I contend that the Acts of the Apostles should be called the Acts of the Holy Spirit. We must never forget that” You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world”.I John 4:4 NKJV
